About Kelly

Kelly started drawing as a child and got her degree in graphic design from Washington State University. After raising three boys she took up painting and has become a prolific oil painter using a contemporary method called “open Impressionism”that is characterized by a bold use of color and painterly impasto brush strokes to create lots of rich texture. Her work can be purchased in “Form & Function” gallery on Cedros avenue, Julie’s Beach in Del Mar and 2 create Gallery in Ramona. She has been a featured artist in Artwalk San Diego.  Kelly makes her home and studio in the charming community of Encinitas California where she lives with her husband and Goldendoodle, Guinness.
